Our First Few Days

It has been an exciting first few days in 6th grade. The students have made a seamless transition and are busy working hard. We began with some "Getting to Know You" activities that required the students to move around the classroom and engage in conversation with one another so they had the chance to learn new things. New technology has been added to each Sharpsburg classroom, so the students have been able to work with the Mimio, which is similar to a smart board. As the weeks go on students will be doing more facilitating and using it directly. I have captured just a few pictures of these first few days. As you can see-we are already busy at work. More pictures are to come in the next few weeks. 6th graders change so much between the fall and spring, and I like to make sure I capture just how much they grow. Thanks for sharing your 6th grader with us! What a year we are going to have!
