Who is telling that story? Teaching Point of View

Our focus this week has been narrator and point of view.  Students have been working with picture books to determine the narrator of various fictional texts.  As 6th graders, students must be able to tell whether a text is being narrated from the first or third person perspective.  In addition, students must be able to determine how a text might be different if it were narrated by another character in the story.  Here are some pictures of students placing their post-its on chart paper and preparing to share their findings about their picture book.
